It's good value if you find the right person.

I'm always amazed by how the other half live.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Our femme de ménage cleans our windows if she has time.
I keep trying to persuade my missus to get a femme de ménage as she's always moaning about house cleaning which rarely gets done.
She responds that she's not having anyone in our gaff to see how dirty it is & she'd have to thoroughly clean the place before she let anyone in to clean it
Is this a woman's thing?
No. I would be the same. and my place is a bit of a tip.

PS. No smiley is deliberate.

There is a chap who does all the outsides of shop windows in our village and in other local villages and towns on a regular tour basis.
He does not do domestic windows.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

Those who can pay others to work for them.

Ah! Then I guess that puts me in that half. :D
Mind you, I had a good, well paid job but decided to 'go it alone' & start my own company.
When in business I employed a lot workers who were with me for years & took all of the risks associated with owning a company.
I was quite succesfull & didn't waste money on vanity things so in my dotage I am now financialy very happy & can afford to employ folk to do the jobs I can't/don't want to do.
Do I feel bad about that?
Do I hell as like.

It's not wise to make assumptions, Hotrodder.
OH and I each have small English and French pensions which we top up with investment income, so we're far from being rich. Health problems make housework difficult for me, hence the help after a hard-working life.
Voilà! I've laid my life bare for you to chew over in the context of your blanket condemnation.
Everyone has a backstory.

I manage to do my own windows, though probably not as often as they should be done. However, I've managed to acquire bersitis in one of my shoulders as I've aged. This makes the sweeping motions required to do things like window washing and strimming quite difficult (among other things).

Though I still do the windows (unless I have a big flare up), we have brought in help with the garden work. It has been one of the most pleasurable changes to our lives we could have made. Young folk show up on time do the strimming and mowing and it looks fantastic when they leave. We still pull weeds and prune things, but the help we have hired has made our lives so much happier.
