Blood Test Interpretation
I have need of a simple interpretation of a comment on my blood test results.
All the results over 2 pages seemed ok to me, but right at the end, in very tiny print it says 'forte probabilite de necrose myocardique', which sounds a bit alarming.
Anybody got any idea what that means?
I rang the surgery to ask if the doctor has a copy and was simply told they would ring back tomorrow with an answer and also if a further rdv was necessary.

I once asked a similar question many years ago on a Forum for immigrants - l think it was Angloinfo but can't be sure, anyway the very best advice l got was to ask a Medical Practitoner.

@Spardo If I were you, I would go to the surgery, ask what the term means and make a RV.

@Spardo
It is serious .. how serious depends on a few factors.
Hopefully Pathca will be along soon as she is much more knowledgeable than me.
It seems part of your left ventricle might be lacking oxygen which probably needs treatment.
If you don't hear from your Dr tomorrow then I would contact him/her again.

Thank you all, my thinking too re the possible seriousness, though I am surprised that if so I haven't been alerted by either the lab or the doctor. I will leave it till tomorrow and, if I hear nothing contact the surgery in the afternoon.
The results didn't come automatically, despite being promised an email. I called in to the lab yesterday and was given it there and then. 5 working days after the test.

I’ve been for my hydrotherapy
@Spardo do not leave it to tomorrow afternoon to speak to the doctor Personally I would be back on today and insist on an answer,if you don’t feel you can do this then first thing in the morning at the latest. In the meantime any chest pain ,dizziness ,short of breath or even just plain not right phone the emergency number

Thank you but, too late now, been fighting Amazon half the afternoon over a disrupted login, so it will have to be in the morning. I'll ring at 8am.Pathca wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 5:00 pm I’ve been for my hydrotherapy

Well @Pathca before I could ring this morning the surgery rang me to say that the doctor has seen the report and there is nothing to worry about in it and therefore no need of a personal consultation.
Must say I am a little surprised but the trouble is that translating French terms only vaguely understood into English only produces vaguely understood English terms.
I must admit though that I have none of the symptoms that you mention and the left side abdomen pains that prompted the initial visit seem to have stopped. Whether because of the completion of the course of pills or because of an improvement in my wife's condition re the fall she had, which allows me now to raise her up using my arms under her armpits and throwing my weight backwards rather than the twisting of my body when I could only use her left hand (which I thought might have been the cause of my pains), I don't know.
