What a courageous woman. She's gone through months of interrogation in such a calm and dignified manner and should be applauded.
Now we wait for justice to be done. The court is reading out the verdicts now and so far, they are "guilty". I just hope the sentences reflect the vileness of the action of these perverted men.

Fortunately Dominique Pelicot was so perverted that he not only videoed everything, but also kept records. The evidence against him and the other men is damning.

Max sentence is only 20 years. Will they be named in the press? There was an interview on radio4 with the daughter of one of the accused claiming it was unfair and that he had been tricked. He had raped but it wasn’t his fault! Bloody unbelievable .

Yes, the names are being read out - and so they should be. Why should they remain anonymous ? Dominique Pelicot has just been given 20 years.
French coverage is useless - the BBC is far more up to the minute.

I don't know how reduced sentencing works in France, but I've just read this :

More now from Patrick Gontard, the lawyer for Jean-Pierre Marechal who was sentenced to 12 years.
Earlier he said that his client would not be appealing the verdict.
He says he believes Marechal could be free in three years time, and advises his colleagues to think long and hard about whether they should appeal.

12 years should be 12 years otherwise it makes a mockery of court sentencing.
What about one of the men with a lesser sentence ? Joseph Cocco sentenced to 3 years - out in 18 months ?
