Supplies in shops
I've been to U (sweaty walk), got the rejuvenating whiskey (shite week), and looked for some soda as I've taken to diluting the elixir. Tonic by the metre, but no soda, so I've bought some U low-everything lemonade.
I decided to look around at that point out of interest to see if anything's running low. Almost the end of trading day and there didn't seem to be anything short apart from a few fresh veg, and a slightly depleted cheese section. This is our usual shopping emporium, a bog-standard supermarket (not hyper-) in a small rural village, pop. 2,500, but up to 300 000 tourists in Spring & Summer, so there's often a "run" on certain things, like beer and coke in hot weather.
Can't say I've noticed shortages elsewhere - yet. When ink cartridges and said whiskey run short, I'll have to retire.

Most of the tourists have gone, never noticed any problems in the local supermarkets during the summer season or now, it’s business as usual.

There have been problems at Castorama with some building materials. No sand on a couple of occasions, and they have switched their source of gravel - different colour stone - not that that is in itself an issue but it is an indication perhaps of supply chain issues.
Chausson also have changed their sourcing of yellow sand which used to be normal sharp builders sand and suddenly became soft sand.
As for the supermarkets, there are occasional gaps on the shelves but 'twas ever thus and I have seen nothing of special note..

Re: Supplies in shops
The only time we saw shortages in the shops, was during the first lockdown last year. Pasta and flour - whoosh, gone! Sometimes there may be a problem with delivery, but generally never seen a big problem. We're already spoiled for choice. Unlike many countries.

Re: Supplies in shops
No problems here. We went shopping yesterday and there was plenty of everything.
Are there supposed to be shortages?

Big shortage of red label meat here - there is no way I want to pay full price! And haven't seen red label salmon or tuna for weeks. Otherwise, no issues.

Re: Supplies in shops
I had no idea there were shortages in France - I thought it was the UK. No problem getting anything here. Like Bayleaf, I haven't seen empty shelves since the first confinement.

Re: Supplies in shops
British brexiteers would like us to think there are, and that it (the shortage propaganda) is all engineered in Brussels!
Like Blaze, the only time we ever saw empty shelves here was during the 1st confinement.
