It seems that the Royal Mail is indeed about to be sold off.

One of the ideas for the new venture will be Sunday deliveries - and if they prove popular they may be extended to the rest of the week

That is pretty funny , although I don't think that the Post Office Enquiry is a laughing matter.

No, it isn't, but then the whole crooked cover up is an utter joke. Will anything happen to those people who were obviously denying there was a problem, and carried on ruining lives? Crocodile tears from Ms Vennells, like we're supposed to pity her.

Who's next on the stand? Someone from Horizon IT, or even the parent company, Fujitsu? And what's the connection between Fujitsu and the Sunaks/Govt?

"Fujitsu has been awarded work (Govt contracts) totalling £4.9billion since a December 2019."

WTF?

To be fair to Fujitsu - what we are talking of here is the division they bought - formerly called ICL - that has held government contracts for decades.

I remember them in BT - who made some weird choices to use ICL when IBM made more sense. But that is another issue.

I have been rewatching 'Mr Bates and the P.O.' on ITV3 .. the most revealing part last night for me was the contract lawyer, who eventually got the case to court, saying to Alan Bates, after looking at the 144 page PO contract, that it was 144 pages of complete 'xxxx' and wasn't even legal.

ICL was an independent company which was acquired by Fujitsu. BT’s chairman was Peter Bonfield who was CEO of ICL when It was taken over by Fujitsu. Some on here seem to be confusing Royal Mail and The Post Office. They split in 2012

How long does it take to tell the truth?

"the chief executive of the Post Office has temporarily stepped back from running the company as he prepares for the final stage of the Horizon scandal inquiry.

In an email to staff on Thursday, Nick Read said he was standing down for seven weeks to prepare for the “critical” seventh phase of the Post Office IT Horizon Inquiry, which is expected to begin in September."

wtf??

I think this demonstrates the complicity of this individual and quite possibly many others.

Maybe he won't be coming back - and this gives his temporary replacement time to bed in to manage the fall out.

Sadly, Starmer's lot look like they will be reducing any jail time from 50% to 40%

Depending on the crime. Some shysters could have huge fines and lots of community service, or, I hear there's some paid up rooms in Rwanda now vacant ......!
