I used to love eating out at Skidby Mill (E Yorks). Yorkshire pudding made in a bread tin with the filling of your choice - from "just" gravy (but wonderful gravy) through to a full roast beef dinner. Yum.

I do like Yorkshire pudding but I’ve never heard of them referred to as Yorkies. I was thinking chocolate bars.

I was brought up in Yorkshire and never heard them called Yorkies in either the deep West Riding or East Yorkshire. A favourite of mine, also had them at Skidby Mill as well as umpteen other pubs and caffs and never heard the word Yorkie other than for a Yorkie bar. A word made up by someone from outside Yorkshire methinks.
