Chronopost seem to have changed their delivery procedures to more rural places.
They used to deliver here but now pass the order on to La Poste for the final delivery. The poor post girls staggering up our drive with a 24kg box of cat food 5 times per month.

There's a group in our village use baconbythebox and do a group order
They say it's all good
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

I do 2 orders per year and freeze everything. I have a excellent Chronopost deliverer. Whilst the best before date is quite short, I’ve never had a problem and the quality of meat and cheese is excellent. Unfortunately since Brexit I can’t order my Lancashire cheese!

Club together for a large enough order and try it. Never been disappointed for the three years we've been using them.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Unfortunately our post office got wise to that and now refuse to do the last leg. Instead the driver will call, leave an open line, then contact base to say 'the client' has requested the parcel be left at a point relay. Then it's a case of waiting until the following day for the computer to be updated to see where it's been left. All for an extra five kilometers. I did order some foodstuffs before Christmas which were actually delivered by Chronopost but only after they had been in the depot for ten days waiting to be put on a van. I suppose they wanted to make it worth their while.

Cure your own, its not expensive, just need a container and some curing salts and a wait of ten days, sausages are a bit more difficult but better than any bought ones.
