@MAD87 The ones we have are red in a brown box, they won't strike on anything else either, so I assume they are safety ones.
Bizarrely people from Blackburn tend to say chimbley as well

Oh dear, we, Mum and I were from Manchester, always took the mick out of Dad for that, and his insistence that people who design houses were artitects. :lol:

Back in the early 60s I was driving my company mini somewhere around East Anglia when the engine boiled. I stopped at a garage to ask them to fix it. First mechanic looked at the problem and then shouted up to No 2 mechanic up on the 1st floor of the spares dept 'Ha yer go' a top owse up there bouey?' Made Oi laff. They fixed it.
