Is Putin ill ?

#1 Post by Blaze »

The answer to that is likely to be "Yes".
There has been speculation for some time due to the change in his appearance in the last year or so : his face has become puffy and he sometimes seems to have problems controlling his limbs.

The latest is that Putin was treated for cancer in April ...

There have been suggestions of Parkinson's due to his gripping a desk during a video of an interview in Moscow, and that his eyesight is failing.

We risk being influenced by wishful thinking ....

I get newsfeeds from Wiltshire News (goodness knows why!), and they regularly report on their take of Putin's health. Even implying that he may already be dead, but that would be kept a secret as his henchmen would lose all power to carry on if that info. were leaked out. Like you say - I think it's all wishful thinking on our parts. He certainly doesn't look well, and it's been implied that a body double has been used for some public events where he doesn't speak to anyone close up.

Who knows?

There is so much stuff being leaked from supposed sources very near to him that I have ceased paying any attention to it. If any or all of it is true then why is he still there? Is it the same scenario that applies in No.10 where there's nobody willing to step up to replace Bojo because of the mess he has produced? One thing is sure. There will be people further up the food chain rubbing their hands and waiting to cash in when it all goes tits up.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

If he is ill I hope it's nothing trivial.

What a sad thread. I wouldn't wish cancer or Parkinson's disease on anyone. :(

I wouldn't wish cluster munitions, phosphorous bombs and all the rest on anyone either.

Lesser of two evils.
