Anyone else watching Macron on C A Vous on Channel 5 - He's being fed all the soft questions from a panel of sycophantic journalists who appear to have recused themselves from the purpose of their occupation. He's coming across as uncaring, over confident and arrogant man surrounded by nodding dogs. This performance has made us think twice about votez blanc on Sunday - MLP may well get our vote.

That sounds like the equivalent of voting for Brexit - done on an emotional rather than a logical basis. The consequences behind which, while not exactly quantified, do seem to be grave. Grave for France and potentially grave for UK (and other) immigrants.

If she wins, and our life becomes difficult - nay, impossible to stay in France because of her, people like you will be getting all the blame. Just like my anger continues for Brexshitters .... They voted for change - oh boy, they got that!

Not sure if your comment is tongue in cheek or not, OBR .....
Sadly the voting system brought in by de Gaulle with the Fifth Republic has got France into this ridiculous situation of voters abstaining, voting blanc or voting against a candidate. Before 1958, the voting system was more like the British system. As it is now, it leaves people very discontented and in some ways, I can understand why people don't want to vote - the current system leaves them with a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Could you really consider voting for someone who wants France to leave the EU and NATO ? Someone who was considering a referendum on the re-introduction of the death penalty (fortunately this has gone to the back burner) ? Someone who could consider Russia a friend and not seeing how stupid it was borrowing Russian money for her previous election campaign ?

Heaven help France if she does get in because she will create no end of problems and she may not be around to see the fall out, though she would like to return to a 7 year non renewable mandate. Who knows if many of her radical ideas would bear fruit during her mandate because of the time taken to implement (leaving the EU for example).

Having voted all of my adult life I think that it should be mandatory, same as in Australia.
As already said god help us all if pen got in.
