I am sure M. Fillon wishes people hadn't.

Now I read she wants a referendum on reinstating the death penalty.

Not sure how popular it is in France, but if it goes through I think that is Frexit by the back door.

Damn! No campaigners from either side in the market today, and I didn't get to the one yesterday. But I did meet a very smart black standard poodle, it was a pity my doodle wasn't with me.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

"Avec Marine Le Pen au pouvoir, des centaines de milliers d’étrangers et de binationaux seraient interdits d’emploi"

https://www.nouvelobs.com/election-pres ... Zc1pH02rYg

This is why she must not win: (google translate of part of the above)
"Marine le Pen, as we know, intends to have this bill adopted within six months of her election. But what we know less is that it does not only aim, so to speak, to block the arrival of immigrants or to be more severe with illegal immigrants. The president of the RN also targets, if not above all, families, men, women, in a regular situation and in France for often decades. The latter, if it comes to power, will be reduced to the rank of sub-citizens who do not have the same rights as “nationals”. The objective is to deprive them of resources in order to force them to leave the territory. This is the goal pursued by Marine Le Pen even if she does not state it so clearly."

So, if you're already retired and your resources are secure from elsewhere, fine. But those of us still of working age - I shall have a worrying knot in my stomach for another week, and hope that France isn't stupid enough to vote her in. :?

Could she do this without putting it through the Assemble Nationale?

edit after Sparkle's post - also, could she block those with dual nationality - as in effect they are French?
