Nice day for a walk

#1 Post by L Austin France »

Just answered the door to a bunch of about 20 walkers looking like drowned rats seeking shelter from the atrocious weather.
I've left 'em happily dripping off in our boules alley where they are hanging up their wet weather gear for a bit of respite.
My offers of coffee etc were politely refused.

or a bike ride :D Yesterday my french neighbour rang the bell. She had with her two cyclists and said they need a key. It turns out one needed an alum key to fix something on his bike she didn't know what one was!
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

I looked up alum key as I'd only heard of allen key and apparently they are both correct ...........

Our wind is southerly today so we've unlikely to get your rain. But, my word, that southerly wind is quite strong and bitter cold.

Too logical - clearly no one has told l'Academie - I am sure they could have come up with something.

@Pathca are you on your hols in Wales? Hopefully the weather will pick up for you. We had gale force winds late yesterday afternoon and into the night - all is calm today - for the moment!

The group I walk with is based in Chester,so Wales is easy for them, for me it means a fifty mile drive to meet up with them before we get to where we walk ( it’s a long story)
Having said that I have had lots of holidays in Wales and it can be beautiful,it can also be horrible often within a couple of hours
