Ideal diet

To live longer eat this. and go nuts?

As an example, this would mean eating one big tomato, one sweet pepper, mixed salad leaves, half an avocado, a small bowl of vegetable soup, one banana, one orange, one apple, one kiwi and a handful of berries every single day.

Hmmm - might be good for you, but is it good for the planet? I see lots of transport involved in getting some items on that list to most parts of France. And some of the production techniques - e.g. covering the world with glasshouses and artificial watering - may have an adverse impact also.

Does that matter?

Absolutely. "Carbon footprint" seems so last year - it's never mentioned anymore. :cry:

As for fad diets- everything in moderation I say. :D

Apart from avocado*, all the rest are grown in France (inc. bananas if one strictly defines France).
*We had South African clients a few years ago who were planning to grow avocados in Creuse.
