Titre de Séjour numbers

An interesting report in our local paper today about the number of post-Brexit Titre de Séjours that have been issued in the Lot.
2501 cards have been issued, ranking the Lot in 15th place in terms of numbers of cards issued.
2 have been refused for 'public order' reasons - who's been a naughty boy then?
3 have been refused for lack of justification paperwork
Approx 30 applications are still in the pipeline.

80% of the requests came from retirees, with the majority of those being aged 70 and over!
On average they have been here for 20 years
Few speak French, but depsite that they seem to be active in local associations, and/or were involved in local politics.

The article was sympathetically written, I thought, and explained the Brexit situation to their usual French audience in a chatty yet succinct way

Giving an idea of the numbers nationwide put through anguish and expense for this "Brexit Opportunity" to achieve "sovrunty".

This page gives various immigration figures

including
https://www.immigration.interieur.gouv. ... 022-v3.pdf
which includes this (the UK figures are being collected separately so they don't distort comparisons with other years

Yes, very interesting.
@suein56 - I think it depends on the circumstances of any refusal.
