Yes - the BoE has just increased interest rates whilst the ECB seem reluctant to - so it is both the EUR is dropping and GBP rising.

EUR is also down against CHF.

Whichever way you slice it. People who are on a fixed income in pounds and pay to live with euros 1.20 is better.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Noticed it's dropped back this morning to 1.18€ on the up side for me when looking at my bank account this morning I've received 100€ which I think must be the French indemnité inflation bonus - yippeeeeeee

Is anyone else using Transferwise ? for some time they have been seeking introductions for business and the latest is something like get 3 people to sign up and you get £120 and they get a free transfer. I don't think they grasp the fact that the typical British, or anyone else, deplores the idea of anyone profiting from their introduction, I have tried this several times, only ever got one idiot to sign up then he backed out as they asked for a mobile number and he hasn't got one, total waste of time.

I don't use Transferwise but CurrencyFair do something similar - I don't take any notice of it so I can't say how much is on offer for getting someone to sign up.
