You just reminded me. We have two pressure cookers to get rid of. A large one that is in nearly new condition and a small one that is brand new. They won't work on our new induction cooker.
I got rid of an awful lot of perfectly good pans and a pressure cooker which weren't compatible with induction, before finding out that you can buy a gadget for as little as €7 to 'convert' them https://www.manomano.fr/accessoire-de-r ... xGEALw_wcB Plenty of other makes and sources available
Renting in Germany and having a house in France led us to double up on lots of things to avoid carting back and forth - kitchen goods, tools, power tools etc. (and probably forgetting a key item each time). Plus we had cats to transport back and forth taking up quite some space in the car and so limiting what could be transported.
Then in France we renovated the barn, put in a kitchen etc. So needed another set of kitchen stuff - kettles, knives, pans, toasters etc.(That's 3 for those who have lost count). And then on retirement we left Germany and transported out goods and chattels to France - so 2, 3 and occasionally 4 sets of things!
Some have worn out and the replacement is at hand. In other cases tastes have changed so for example we have four! filter coffee machines all stored away and not used. [ Ah but they might come in.]

That's interesting, does it enable you to use a very small pan on a large ring/zone. Quite often I need to use several small pans but they won't register on the large zone areas of the hob, even though they are induction pans.

And if you trust the site owners not to have backdoored anything - not a risk with an ISO from Microsoft - that is just backdoored by Microsoft

Yes - that was why my new PC has Windows 11 on it (with a Windows 7 key) - I would have preferred proper Windows 7. Some functionality can be returned with Start11 - and the spying can be reduced with Shutup10. Sadly, Linux just does not have the programs, drivers and functionality I need for work.
I only use a genuine Microsoft ISO. Its a little "adjustment" that dodges the registration process.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
We moved back from France, after selling the furniture, but kept loads of 'it'll come in handy one
day'. Not getting any younger, so now trying to sell those items. However, sods law kicked in last night, my 17 years old desktop running windows XP gave up the ghost!! Now using 9 years old laptop, and facing a future of Windows 10.
You got me to thinking. My backup PC that I built about that long ago to run XP is sitting here with a cleaned up version of W7 on it waiting to be switched on as a backup if something goes wrong with the others in the house. I love the longevity of a desktop. Something goes wrong, you replace a component cheaply, instead of buying a replacement with a later OS that you have to clean up, debug, and learn to use. Laptops are a little more difficult to replace the innards. They often contain parts that are specific to the original manufacturer's design.

I don't know, NA....I never did get around to buying an adaptor I don't use the induction hob much now, either, since the start of an electricity economy drive! I do miss the easy cleaning....
Buying the new induction cooker was (for us) part of an economy drive. With gas prices continually rising and my spine less and less able to lift the gas bottles, etc. it seemed like a "no brainer". The easy clean aspect caught us by surprise. Win Win.
But of course, now we have three gas bottles taking up space in our limited storage spaces.

I've just tripped over three strimmers in the woodshed, none of them work, but apparently they can be cannibalized/cannibalised to make one that does work - I'm not holding my breath for that to happen though.
Oh and my computer, OH's computer and my laptop are all windows 7 - may they live long and prosper.
I moved here about 19 years ago with the bare minimum of 'stuff' to live with having chucked most of my previous life to make a fresh start.
I now have a 200M2 house plus barns etc totalling a further 350 M2 which is/are stuffed full of 'stuff' that is either indispensable or will come in handy one day.
Where the hell does it all come from?
