La Poste strikes again
La Poste have returned an item intended for me as the address does not exist. Except it does - my former boss lives there and even Google knows all about it.
So the sender is now offering to send it to a point mondial relay.
I am sure we can find one easily enough - but what proof is needed to collect from there? Proof of ID/Name? Proof Address? other?
TIA

I have not used mondial relay, but GLS keep dropping off my deliveries at the local depot.
There they require a 6? digit code (I assume MR send this with the notification that the package is ready for pick up). This allows the staff to identify the package and then they require proof of identity (usual things, ID card or passport) before handing it over. I don't think they accept driving licence or CPAM card.
I would guess that this is standard - but knowing France, maybe not.

I thought that you received an SMS with a QR code? That's all that is required round here.

There is a point Mondial relay at our supermarket - the locker things like Amazon. Pretty sure it is done by a QR code via your smartphone (down hotrodder!)

Here. Numeric code and nothing else.
No code then ID
Collecting for someone else and no code.. their ID card

I don't have a smart toy, so I print the QR code which MR sends by email. It is scanned at the locker array (we have two within a km) and the appropriate door with my package pops open.
When we used a MR pickup with people, they scanned the QR code with their doofahs.

Is that hygienic?
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
