Ritalin

Anyone got experience of Ritalin, svp? I have read the technical stuff and some of the fors and againsts on Google but I was wondering if anyone had personal experience?

I thought this was to deal with behavioural issues in children.

I know that there are issues at present with some drugs - e.g. Elvanse for ADHD - so is the issue that this has been prescribed as an alternative?

It has been suggested to deal with a 12 year old who has serious problems of concentration, plus dyslexia etc.

If this is to treat anyone under the age of 16, please do your research before allowing the treatment. This is a drug that has so many different side effects and can worsen many known or unknown conditions.

From my experience, I cannot think of any circumstances in which I would take the drug and certainly would not allow my child to take the drug.

It is very commonly prescribed in the U.S. Almost like a daily dose of vitamins.
