Bats in the belfry !

It seemed that thee entire primary school called here yesterday afternoon, plungijng their mitts into my bag of mini Mars (I keep for my femme de ménage).
Funny that the French have adopted wholesale an Irish pagan celebration commercialiseed by those strange Yanks. Even stranger is the practice of public holidays for Christian feast days in a seccular state!

We weren't laughing last year when we had one in the bedroom and couldn't get rid of it.

Our semi-resident bats must be taking a break in their holiday home. They live under the S-facing porch for a good part of the year but got overcrowded this year and some youngsters tried to colonise the space between the W-facing house wall and a shutter. So we put up a deluxe bat box under the roof and just above said shutter. They weren't impressed :(
Picky little creatures, we can only hope that they've found somewhere nearby to their liking!
