When something is easy, some French people say 'finger in the nose' in English.

I was a bit flummoxed as we don't have that expression in English as far as I know.

You learn something every day. 8-)

Yes, I've heard that as well - it's so really weird that they say it in English! I wonder where it originated.

I had not heard that at all .. so I looked it up.
Apparently it might date from 1912 .. so just a bit before my time 😊

I've never heard it in English but plenty of times in French. The common expression is 'simple comme bonjour'.
