A Quick Poll

[Char]

When I first logged on to the forum I clicked the remember me box, so I'm automatically logged in each time I visit.

I've just been looking at the stats and see that although we have loads of guests visiting, not many registered members show up in the lists.

I'm wondering whether or not it's worth having the stats and members online showing at the bottom of the index page if people aren't logging in as no-one will be online at the moment and no-one will have been on line in the last 24 hours - which will probably put people off visiting the forum.

So I'm just interested to see how many of you actually log in when you visit.
Thanks

I do log in most often as a habit but that is because I get logged out regularly despite having pressed the remember me box.

Char, didnt realise you were Chinese, from HK?

I set the remember me box when I first logged in and haven't had to log in since. Maybe be a problem with your browser settings?

As Ive said I have a look and then log in to reply to a post of interest.
Log in first when I want to make a post and photo

Yes, Dave, probably.

will be logging in on each visit from now on and stay logged in if it helps with the success of the forum.

I have already said I prefer the stats and online to be shown, but I'm only the new kid on the block.

Most of the guests are probably bots scraping the forum, so I wouldn't read to much into those stats. As for registered members showing up, I can't speak for the others but I always log off so you will not know if it's me looking unless you check the IP against my username (but I do change my IP sometimes) so for me in answer to your poll "I only log-in if I want to post" I have notifications turned on and also follow the forums RSS feed so will know if there is something of interest to me.

I log in every time I visit. I have my settings set to delete all cookies/log ins every time I turn my computer off. So I hav to re-log in to every site I use daily. And am very happy with that. I tick the remember me box every time I log in, so I can use the site all day, but when I turn my computer off at night all my log ins are gone.

Bon soir - a demain!

I login to post but often log out when pictures are too large to upload so go off to reset them.
Often look in without logging in.
