No-one can doubt that the Hamas attack on Israel was appalling and unacceptable. But what Hamas overlooked was that Israel was just waiting for just such an excuse to wipe Palestine off the face of the earth, which is what they are now doing. Looking back at the map posted by Niemeyjt (where is he ?), the countries in blue proposed by Israel to take in Gazans would just be a dumping ground. DR Congo and Somalia/Puntland are hardly acceptable places for Gazan refugees to go to - they are in the midst of war themselves. Countries like Egypt and Jordan which would be far more acceptable, have already taken in refugees and refuse to take any more.

Whilst at the beginning, one could really sympathise with the horror and anger felt by Israel. But now, what Israel is doing is nothing short of genocide. Not all Palestinians were in favour of Hamas any more than all Americans favour the Orange one.
It'"s a sad fact that in time of war, everyone lies or tries to cover things up.
