Strep A in France
I’ve just seen reports of a number of cases in France of Strep A infections in both adults and children. None of them linked. 8 children sadly 2 have died. Also 3 adults one of whom has also died. Occitane, Nouvelle Aquitaine and Rhône Alps are all on alert and have received an Urgent notice from the Ministry about diagnostics and action to be taken.

Strep A in France
Strep A is extremely common. The issue is when it becomes invasive strep A that it becomes dangerous.
