Just extracted a load of tulip bulbs from pots; most seem health enough but some do not seem to have flowered, having been in a lower layer in the pot. If planted will they come again next Spring?
I dont usually bother to keep them but I thought this year I would try.
What is the best way to prepare tulip and daff. bulbs to be put away and stored, svp?

too late for this year

1. dead head as soon as flowering over

2. a feed with growmore at same time

3. wait until leaves are brown before lifting - and when you do look at bulbs - you may find babies you can bring on.

Mrs N did ours 2 weeks ago. And these were from last year which did reflower this year.

As @niemeyjt has said. In principle every single bulb can flower again next year. The small ones on the side of big bulbs may need a second year before they flower. Worth a try though.

Stick them in the fridge a week before you replant.
