Oh FFS! People and their "I want to live in the country, but I don't want to hear it!" strike again!!

I've even got accustomed to the 24/7 random peacock screeching that started up a year ago - as humans we seem to get accustomed to most noises after a while! At least it's not the sound of air raid sirens and bombs .....

The frogs are in great song at the moment, just another lovely "proper" wildlife sound. The nightingale trills all night (and all day - do they ever sleep?!).

The only noise that does sometimes upset me at night is if I hear the dogs kick off in the nearby "chateau", where the peacocks and other large menagerie live. The neighbours are often away, and I don't know whether anyone else is there at night, or just during the day. A pack of dogs suddenly barking incessently strikes me that they're calling out for help and are distressed - then I worry!

For the neighbour who can't sleep because of frogs - he could just close his window?!

They're a nightmare aren't they.
Imagine if we'd complained about the barn owls nesting in the roof near our bedroom ! It was a hot summer, impossible to sleep with the windows shut and the 4 babies made a helluva racket shouting for food every night. We couldn't sleep a wink but it was a very funny nightmare
I love the sound of frogs .... she's lucky to have them. They (well, the tadpoles) keep down some of the annoying insects like mosquitoes.

I don't think they would want to live here. We're rural and have owls, kestrels that nest above our bedroom, lots of " farm animals" and lots of frogs in the neighbour's sizable pond. We're fine with all that but the most annoying, is a distant neighbour's dog barking. He does a bark, bark, bark, pause.... bark, bark, bark, pause, That gets on your nerves. We don't want to close the windows in the summer.

Years ago we were at a Kenyan safari lodge where the huge resto./lounge had a large pond inside full of very noisy frogs.
I walked by & made a "EH -HA" sort of sound & there was instant quiet.
Our friends didn't believe I'd quietened the frogs so I repeated it several times.
Still dunno why I picked that sound but it certainly stopped the croaking.

I love the thought of a fully booted and suited gendarmes wading through a pond and trying to catch three frogs. Hope somebody filmed it.

Our neighbours in UK have chickens and goats in their garden. The sounds don't bother me, but I did hear one of the other neighbours complaining about the clucking chickens and bleeding goats. At least that's what I thought he said.

Dog owners (and people with screaming kids) always seem to be stone deaf.
