French mystery over Normandy murder without victim's body
French police are convinced there has been a murder. The problem is, not only is there no corpse. No-one has even been reported missing.

You generally need a bit more evidence than a confession unless you're foreign or worse, brown or black. Remember the Muriel McKay case? Maybe not, long time ago but a case which made me feel deeply uncomfortable.

Yes, I've never forgotten it nor how they suspect her body was disposed of. I've kept a healthy distance from pigs eve since.
