A student and volunteer fire fighter has been accused of setting fires himself at least 30 times ........ I suppose he must be mentally unhinged. Heaven only knows how much damage he has been personally responsible and how many wildlife deaths he has caused.

It's not unusual for pompiers/firefighters to start fires themselves, and the problem is spotting those who are likely to do so. It must be dreadful for their colleagues, as well as their victims, wildlife, destruction of land etc.
