Ooh, thank you for that but we've already accepted the devis. We'll ask them about the bill though. We already get lower TVA on the tiles/sanitary ware because the work is being done by artisans. It never occurred to us that oldies might get special treatment. We still can't get used to checking for old age reductions .... though we did when we visited the War Tunnels in jersey recently !MAD87 wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 8:43 am @Blaze Ask the artisan (if you haven't alr eady) to put 'personnes agrées' on the devis and facture, so that you get the grant available for such work. I can't now remember whether it was a crédit d'impôt or a straight grant, but t was a very welcome dollop of dosh.

The war Tunnels - which used to be known as the Underground Hospital, gave me nightmares when I was younger. I suspect a lot more work has been done to them now but when I first saw them it was probably only about 15/20 years after the occupation.

We'd also accepted the devis, but our plumber kindly redid it with the magic words.

They've done it brilliantly. It gives you a lot to think about, very moving stories and you realise just how extraordinarily difficult life must have been under the occupation.
