Having done a search on drones, it would seem that the drone saw was indeed a professional one. The logo is that of Prodrones and the model looks similar to the DJI Matrice 30T coasting a cool 9k€ !!

They're a fantastic piece of kit with amazing capabilities even though they sound like a swarm of bees.

I think I read that the gov. are using drones in some areas to check out undeclared pools, sheds etc. Could it be that?

@Sparkle There aren't many pools in this area but we know people who've done things/additions to their houses and gardens and not declared them. But I would have thought there are bigger fish to fry elsewhere.

I still can't think why he would have shot off when he saw he was being photographed, and not by a telephone !!

When amazon start delivering by drone I suppose we'll have to get used to the things flying around.
