Drop in for a natter about anything French related.35 hr week ,it was really good for me 4 hours overtime every week because my hours never changed. The boss never batted an eyelid certainly didn't cripple the company.

Well it seems Macron has lost his outright majority - but should be able to govern in a coalition with The Republicains - so maybe sanity can prevail.

In Correze a 43% abstention. Locally 55% NUP and 45% NR in the final run off. Le Pen is crowing of course and it looks like a bit of a mess for the next 5 years and Macron may try to pull in the Republicans to get some measures through but he won't get his own way for sure.

I used to think that way too. But a choice between Les Nupes and le Rassemblement National made me realise that a (registered) vote blanc was a useful protest tool.

Macron has little option but to turn towards Les Républicains, his natural allies, despite having served in Hollande's government. I see Dupont-Moretti however is calling for the support of the RN.

Vote blanc is not a form of protest its no better then abstaining because the only people who pay attention to vote blanc et abstentions are the media. No vote blanc ou absention influences the vote in fact it allows the likes of RN to come to power,my opinion of course
