Terrifying. It takes a very brave person to tackle someone with a knife, but at least he was stopped. Perhaps he won't survive his injuries after being shot by police.
It'll be interesting to hear more about the motive and who he was.

Apparently it was two officers who had just finished their shift who originally intervened I don’t know if they did the shooting though

The knife man (an Algerian) attacked a border police officer and two railway police officers in civvies who'd just come off duty intervened and "neutralised" the attacker. The police don't think it's terrorist-motivated.

Given that there are a number of armed police about in the GduN, it's pretty brave of an officer "in civvies" to draw a weapon.

In the context of my comment, I repeat, it takes a brave person to tackle someone with a knife which is probably why no-one intervened immediately with the first victim. Police coming off duty wear civvies and it would appear that they retain their firearms - when the story first broke this wasn't clear. Not every police officer has had to face an armed assailant and any such situation requires courage whether armed or not.

I suppose if they were railway police who had just finished duty,there’s a good chance that the armed police would be their colleagues and recognise them
