I’ve just been to clean my pool and the temperature of the water is currently 20°C, when we had the very hot spell a couple of weeks ago the water temperature was 26°C.
I always go in once the water reaches 18° and the air temperature is reasonably warm. I aim to swim from some time in April through to the end of September, on that basis I feel I’m getting value for my investment especially as I don’t go away on holiday.

16.5 in my pond this morning, but I find that the colder the water the better you feel on coming out. I certainly don't rush to the warmth of the house, just dry myself vigorously and then spend 5 minutes skimming the surface of leaves. When it is hot outside I tend not to bother with the drying process, below the neck anyway.
